Rome | 10 Days
A New Year’s trip to Rome designed to balance peak-season demand with thoughtful pacing, cultural depth, and standout dining.
With a flexible brief for a New Year’s getaway, we worked closely with the clients to identify the right destination, ultimately guiding them toward Rome for its dining, shopping, and cultural depth. The process was highly collaborative, ensuring the choice aligned with how they wanted to experience the trip.
While Rome is home to some of the world’s most established luxury hotel institutions, the clients gravitated toward a more boutique, residential feel. We guided them toward a property that aligned with this preference while also allowing for greater flexibility across dining, shopping, and experiences during a high-demand travel period. We selected The Fifteen Keys Hotel for its central location and refined, understated character, offering seamless access to key neighborhoods while maintaining a sense of quiet luxury.
The itinerary prioritized meaningful cultural experiences without overloading the schedule. Highlights included a private tour of the Colosseum, with access to the underground tunnels where gladiators once prepared, as well as visits to the Pantheon and Vatican City. For a more personalized layer, we incorporated the Tomb of Julius Caesar based on the client’s interest in Roman history, along with time at Villa Borghese to align with their background in art history.
Recognizing that Rome can quickly become overwhelming, the trip was intentionally structured to leave space for shopping, wandering, and enjoying the city at a natural pace. Clients were also provided with tailored boutique and neighborhood recommendations to complement their interests.
Dining was a central focus throughout. Reservations were secured at institutions such as Imàgo and Pierluigi, where they experienced a traditional New Year’s Eve fish feast. Additional standout meals included Alfredo alla Scrofa, as well as local favorites like Da Enzo al 29 and Emma Pizzeria.
The result was a trip that captured the depth of Rome’s history while still feeling curated, balanced, and easy to move through during one of the busiest times of year.
